Refrigeration services for the equipment your business can’t lose

Walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, and ice machines. When refrigeration fails, product spoils by the hour. Repair, maintenance, and honest lifecycle advice for the cold side of your operation.

The 2L way

What honest refrigeration services looks like

Refrigeration failure is a different kind of emergency than comfort HVAC. A warm dining room costs you customers; a warm walk-in costs you inventory, with a health inspector’s opinion attached. Restaurants, markets, bars, and shops run on cold equipment that never gets a night off, and the difference between a hiccup and a catastrophe is usually how fast the problem gets caught and how competently it gets diagnosed. Refrigeration is kin to air conditioning, same physics, but the applications, temperatures, and failure patterns are their own trade, and it deserves techs who treat it that way.

We service the working cold equipment of small and mid-size operations: walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, prep and undercounter units, and ice machines. The failure calls get urgency scaled to what’s at stake, product first, always, and the diagnosis names the real fault, because refrigeration has its own repeat offenders: iced evaporators from failed defrost, door gaskets bleeding cold and money, condensers furred with kitchen grease running head pressures into the red. Maintenance turns most of those into non-events, which is why our refrigeration contracts pay for themselves in un-spoiled inventory alone.

What working with 2L looks like

Scoped around your hours

Commercial work starts with your operation: what the space needs, what downtime costs, and when work can happen without costing you customers. Nights and weekends are scheduling options, not favors.

Operator-grade honesty

You get the findings and the numbers the way an owner needs them: repair versus replace math, energy implications, and downtime risk, all laid out plainly so the business decision is yours to make.

Done, documented, backed

Work gets finished on the agreed schedule, commissioned under real load, and documented for your records. Priority response and maintenance agreements keep it running after we leave.

Owner on the job

Why this work comes to 2L, all across Midlothian and the DFW area

Commercial clients get the same owner-operated directness as homeowners, plus the things a business actually needs: priority response, after-hours scheduling, documented maintenance, and repair-or-replace math presented like you’d present it to your own accountant.

Refrigeration triage starts with one question: is product at risk right now? If it is, you’ll get honest guidance on the phone, consolidate, ice, or move stock, and an arrival window you can plan around. The repair follows the same firm-price rules as everything else we do.

Scope of work

Cold-side equipment we service

  • Walk-in cooler and freezer repair and maintenance
  • Reach-in, prep table, and undercounter units
  • Ice machine service, cleaning, and repair
  • Defrost failures and iced evaporator recovery
  • Door gaskets, hinges, and the losses they leak
  • Condenser cleaning for grease-heavy kitchen environments
  • Temperature monitoring and product-protection advice

Commercial equipment in the metroplex works a brutal calendar: rooftop ambients over 100 degrees for weeks, door traffic dumping humid load all day, and customer expectations that never take a season off. Businesses that treat HVAC as infrastructure, maintained, monitored, and planned, consistently spend less than the ones that meet their equipment only during failures.

If cost timing is the worry, Synchrony financing lets you approve the work now and pay over time, and you’ll get the same honest quote either way. Regular plan maintenance is the cheaper habit that keeps emergencies rare in the first place.
Good to know

Questions homeowners actually ask

Straight answers, the same ones you’d get on the phone. If yours isn’t here, call and ask.

My walk-in is warming up. What do I do first?

Call, and while help routes: keep the door closed and traffic out, check that the evaporator fans inside are spinning and the condensing unit is running, and consolidate product toward the coldest zone. Minutes matter less than door discipline in the first hour.

Why does my evaporator keep icing over?

Failed defrost, usually, a timer, heater, or termination fault letting frost accumulate until airflow dies, though door gaskets leaking humid kitchen air ice coils too. The diagnosis pins which, because the fixes are completely different.

How often should commercial refrigeration be maintained?

Quarterly for most food-service settings, kitchen grease loads condensers shockingly fast, and a furred condenser runs hot, kills compressors, and inflates the power bill. Cleaner environments can stretch longer, and we’ll set the honest interval for yours.

Is it worth repairing an older walk-in or reach-in?

Often yes, refrigeration boxes outlive their components, and a compressor or evaporator swap in a sound box beats replacement money by a wide margin. When the box itself, insulation, or door structure is failing, you’ll get that verdict straight instead of a heroic repair bill.

Do you handle ice machines too?

Yes, repair and the deep cleaning and sanitizing they need far more often than they get. An ice machine is a food-contact appliance, and both the health inspector and your customers have opinions about the ones that don’t get maintained.
