Owner-operated HVAC · Southern DFW

Twenty years on the tools, and the sales desk never got built.

2L Air Conditioning and Heating is the honest option: AC and heating repair, new installations, ductwork, air quality, maintenance, and independent inspections across the southern DFW metro. What we keep finding when nobody has looked in years

These photos are from real houses in this metro, taken by the person who fixed what they show. A clean-looking system can hide a starved return, a corroding coil, or a furnace wired to limp. You cannot see any of it from the hallway thermostat. We go where the problems live, on repair calls, tune-ups, and inspections alike.

Corrosion like this starts years before the system quits. It shows up in an inspection first.

Every service, on the table

All 78 services we offer, in plain sight. One company, one standard: instrument diagnosis, firm prices before work starts, and repair-first honesty on every one of them. Click any service for the straight version of what it costs you to ignore it.

The walk, in order

Every inspection follows the same sequence, because order is how you avoid missing things. This is the short version of what Jimmy checks in a typical visit. The report follows the same path, so you can hold it next to the house and see exactly what he saw.

Texas attics do most of the hiding here. From June to September they run brutal, which is exactly when duct leaks, weak charge, and starved returns stop being invisible and start being the reason one bedroom never sleeps cool. An inspection in April reads the same evidence without the heatstroke pricing.

Findings come back in writing, with photos, usually the same day.

“The twenty years of experience will be in your house, instead of at the sales desk.”

Jimmy Willson · Owner, 2L Air Conditioning and Heating

Jimmy started 2L because he did not like where the HVAC industry was going, with all the used-car salesmen. The inspection side of the business is that idea taken to its logical end: a visit where nothing is for sale except the truth about your system. State licensed, Midlothian based, financing available through Synchrony and Wisetek when repairs do come up.

Four counties, one truck

We inspect within about 25 miles of Midlothian, which covers the southern side of the DFW metro. If your closing or warranty deadline is inside that circle, we can usually get to you the same week.

Ellis County · Midlothian, Waxahachie, Red Oak, Ennis and more  ·  Johnson County · Burleson, Cleburne, Joshua, Alvarado  ·  Dallas County · Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster  ·  Tarrant County · Mansfield, Arlington, Kennedale, Crowley

Scheduling runs on your deadline, not ours, and the truck works the counties in regular loops so response windows stay honest instead of hopeful. Option periods and warranty anniversaries hold their dates whether or not anyone inspects anything, so those calls get first claim on the calendar. Builds are more forgiving; a rough-in window is usually a week wide and your superintendent can name it in one text.

Questions we get on the phone

If yours is not here, call (214) 717-3959 and ask it directly. You will get Jimmy, not a call center.

What does 2L actually do?

The full catalog: AC and heating repair, new installations and replacements, ductwork from sealing to full replacement, air quality testing and equipment, thermostats, maintenance plans, independent inspections, and 24/7 emergency response. If it heats, cools, or moves air in a southern DFW home, we handle it.

What if my system dies at night or on a weekend?

Call the same number. The emergency line reaches a real person 24/7, every day of the year, and after-hours rates get stated plainly on the phone before a truck rolls. Households with babies, elderly family, or medical equipment go to the front of the line.

What do I get afterward?

A written report with photos of everything worth seeing, measurements where they matter, and a plain-language list sorted by what threatens the house versus what merely annoys a checklist. Most reports go out the same day.

How fast can you get out?

Usually within the week, and we prioritize option periods and warranty deadlines because those dates do not move. Tell us your deadline when you call and we will work around it.

Will you tell me if a repair is not worth it?

Every time. You get the repair price next to the honest replacement math, and long-time customers will tell you we have talked plenty of them out of spending. Nobody here earns a commission for steering you toward the bigger ticket.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through Synchrony and Wisetek: apply today, get a quick decision, and spread the cost over time. A dead system in July should not have to wait on a perfect budget month.

One more honest note: plenty of these inspections come back clean. When they do, you get the same report, the same photos, and a baseline worth keeping for the day the house changes hands again.

One number reaches the owner, the tools, and a straight answer.
