Refrigeration: where downtime has a price per hour

Walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, and ice machines: when refrigeration falters, inventory is on the clock. We repair and maintain commercial refrigeration across the four-county area.

The straight version

Refrigeration failures are the most honest emergency in the trades: a walk-in climbing through forty degrees converts directly into spoiled inventory, and every hour matters. The physics overlaps with air conditioning, compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant circuits, but the applications punish differently: door gaskets and defrost cycles, iced evaporators, condensing units baking behind buildings, and temperatures that must hold within a few degrees around the clock.

We service the refrigeration backbone of restaurants, stores, and shops: walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in units, prep tables, and ice machines. Repair calls get triaged by what’s at risk, and the diagnostic discipline is the same one that runs the whole company: find the actual fault, show it, price it firm, fix it once. Maintenance agreements cover the unglamorous work, coil cleaning, gasket checks, defrost verification, that keeps compressors alive and health inspections boring.

North Texas is hard on equipment in both directions: cooling seasons that run April to October with attics past 140 degrees, then winter fronts that drop thirty degrees in an afternoon. Every recommendation on this page is made against that reality, sizing, maintenance intervals, and the repair-or-replace math included. Equipment that gets honest seasonal attention handles it; neglected equipment picks the worst week of the year to quit.

Refrigeration we service

  • Walk-in cooler and freezer repair
  • Reach-in and display case service
  • Prep table and undercounter units
  • Ice machine repair and cleaning
  • Condensing unit and compressor work
  • Defrost, gasket, and door-seal maintenance
Here’s the promise every visit runs on: a real diagnosis before any talk of money, the failed part shown to you rather than described at you, a firm price before work begins, and zero pressure toward the bigger ticket. If a cheap repair fixes it, that’s the recommendation. If replacement genuinely wins the math, you’ll see the numbers that say so. Either way the decision stays where it belongs, with you.

How we approach it

Half the walk-in failures we see started as a ten-dollar door gasket: the compressor runs constantly against the leak, ices the evaporator, and eventually quits from the marathon. Gasket and defrost checks are the cheapest compressor insurance that exists, and they’re standard in our maintenance visits.

Commercial clients get the same owner-operated directness with the response times a business actually needs: rooftop units, refrigeration, and maintenance agreements with priority dispatch, because a restaurant walk-in or a server closet does not wait politely. One point of contact, documented work, and pricing without the enterprise theater. Shops, restaurants, offices, and light industrial across the four-county footprint.

Financing through Synchrony and Wisetek is there when the timing is hard, and the emergency line reaches a real person 24/7. Serving Midlothian and the four-county southern DFW footprint: Ellis, Johnson, Dallas, and Tarrant counties. See finished work in the gallery.

How the call goes

  1. Describe the symptoms on the phone. Half the time you’ll get a preliminary read before the truck ever rolls.
  2. On site, the diagnosis comes from gauges and meters, not hunches, and you see the failed part rather than hear about it.
  3. The price is firm before work begins. After-hours emergency terms get stated plainly up front.
  4. When the job wraps, the system gets verified under load and you get the findings in plain language.

A note on parts and warranties: repairs use parts matched to the manufacturer’s specification, not whatever is cheapest on the shelf, and the paperwork you get names what went in. Where the equipment is still under a manufacturer’s parts warranty, we tell you, because plenty of homeowners pay full freight for parts their registration already covers. That one sentence has saved 2L customers real money over the years, and it is exactly the kind of thing a commissioned salesman is paid to forget to mention.

Commercial Refrigeration Services, plainly answered

Something more specific going on? Call (214) 717-3959 and describe it. You’ll talk to the owner, not a call center.

A word on how we price: the number quoted is the number charged, whether the job is a capacitor swap or a full changeout. After-hours emergency terms get stated plainly on the phone before a truck ever rolls. And because nobody here earns commission on findings, a healthy system gets called healthy, which long-time customers will tell you has saved them real money over the years.
My walk-in is warm but running. How fast can you come?

Refrigeration-down calls with inventory at risk get top priority on the emergency line, day or night. Tell us the current temperature and what’s inside, and we’ll triage honestly, including what to do with product while we’re en route.

Why does my evaporator keep icing over?

Usually a defrost failure, a door seal leaking humid air, or airflow starvation in the box. Each is diagnosable and fixable, and running iced just makes the compressor fight through insulation. It’s a call-now symptom, not a watch-it one.

Do you service ice machines?

Yes, repair and the deep cleaning they genuinely need. Ice machines are health-inspection magnets, and the cleaning schedule matters as much as the mechanical work. We handle both.

Is it worth maintaining refrigeration or just fixing failures?

Maintenance wins by a mile in this category: coils, gaskets, and defrost cycles are cheap to keep right and brutally expensive to neglect, because failures take inventory with them. Agreements are priced to be the obvious choice.

Can you replace a dead walk-in condensing unit?

Yes, sizing, refrigerant matching, and changeout are standard work. We’ll also tell you honestly when a failing unit is worth one more repair versus replacement before summer, so the decision happens on your calendar.
